Amsterdam, May 26 2021 — SportsTech Match, which aims to simplify sports tech procurement for both buyers and vendors, today announced the release of its beta platform. The platform enables approved vendors to manage their own product listings in the SportsTech Match marketplace and sports rights owners to discover vendors that are open to running pilot projects.

Commenting on today’s release, David Fowler, Co-Founder of SportsTech Match said, “the barriers between sports tech companies and the sports federations, leagues and teams looking to benefit from their capabilities have increased significantly over recent years. We founded SportsTech Match to help sports rights owners at all levels to cut through the noise and find the right solutions to deliver on their digital transformation goals”.

The beta version of sportstechmatch.com offers a range of unique benefits:

  • The only place to track the evolving marketplace: sports tech companies of all sizes can create and manage their own product listings to enable sports rights owners to keep pace as their solutions evolve.
  • The first product-level mapping of sports tech: sports rights owners can search and discover sports technology solutions on a product-level enabling them to identify solutions relevant to their use case.
  • Anonymous shortlisting service: sports rights owners can use SportsTech Match to assess vendors against their requirements before inviting the right vendors to discuss or pitch for a project.
  • Create pilot projects: sports rights owners can find sports technology companies open to running a pilot project before committing to a commercial relationship.

Speaking of his experience working with SportsTech Match, Carsten Thode, CEO and Founder of Aphetor, said “SportsTech Match forced us to crystallise our requirements, quickly gave us a broad view of the market — saving a lot of desk research, and uncovered some relevant solutions we had previously not been aware of.”

Asaf Nevo, CEO and Founder of leading sports tech company Pico Get Personal, the first approved vendor on the platform, added “SportsTech Match provides vendors like us the opportunity to get in front of decision makers who are coming in the right state of mind and looking for innovative solutions.”

The beta platform can be accessed at sportstechmatch.com and is free for both buyers and vendors. The first 100 approved vendors to list their solutions on SportsTech Match will be showcased in a special series published on the SportsTech Match blog and distributed to hundreds of rights owners via the newsletter and social channels.

About SportsTech Match:

SportsTech Match was founded in 2020 in response to an increase in friction between buyers and vendors of sports technology solutions. The organisation aims to simplify the procurement of sports technology solutions by giving buyers the tools to discover, compare and appoint the right solution for their specific use case as well as by giving approved vendors a free “shop window” to promote themselves. Sports organisations at all levels can search and discover approved solutions and vendors can sign up to get their solutions approved and listed today for free.
