SportsTech Match launches pilot to create industry-first ratings and reviews tool

Ten leading sports tech vendors already confirmed to participate

Amsterdam, 7th March 2022: SportsTech Match (STM), the world’s first B2B marketplace for sports technology, today took a crucial step towards fulfilling its mission to rid the sports industry of poorly performing sports technology companies by commencing the development of a ratings and reviews tool.

The tool is being developed in consultation with STM’s growing vendor community in the form of a pilot programme. Ten leading sports technology companies from sectors as diverse as video streaming, talent identification, club management and referee development, have already confirmed their participation in the programme. Their customers range in size and scale from FIFA and the International Olympic Committee down to local grassroots organisations.

The pilot programme is open to any sports tech vendor with active customers and, once deployed on the platform, will facilitate customer reviews at scale from sports industry professionals — a group that has been neglected by the mainstream B2B tech review platforms.

The pilot programme is simple and works as follows:

• Only customers who are invited by participating vendors can submit a review.
• Vendors can leverage the review as a marketing asset and STM will promote review(s) collected as part of the pilot.
• Customers are not referenced by name in their reviews and they can also choose to keep their organisation name anonymous.
